Pat and the Cheetahs" were formed in 1961, the original line-up being:
- Pat Cahill - singer
- Mick Allen - lead guitar
- Mick Startup - rhythm guitar
- Geoff Playford - bass guitar
- Buster Osmond - drums.
The band played all over Kent as a semi-pro band with the odd gig in London and beyond.
