I played with the Joint (tenor sax) in 1967 at the Griffins night club, a prestige venue in Geneva. After a short residency at the Griffins we were recruited by Guido Franco - a film producer - to perform in a movie called 'What's Happening'. This was filmed on location at a beautiful chateaux near Lausanne. I left the band after the movie was completed and travelled back to London. In 1970 I returned to Switzerland with my band 'The Greatest Show On Earth'. We performed at the famous Montreux Jazz festival which coincided with our first (and only) number 1 single in Europe: 'Real Cool World' recorded on the EMI Harvest label.
