When MH left, Mark switched to bass and I was recruited on keyboards, as the 'fifth Record Player'. I'd sat in a couple of times at the Saracen's Head in Margate before joining. The guys were ten years older than I was, with a lot of gigs behind them. I was excited to go to my first (and only) rehearsal in Cliftonville, only to find it consisted of a couple of run-throughs of a new original, then off to the pub. After that, it was learning on the job, gigging up and down the coast; Ramsgate, Margate, Folkstone, Deal, Dover. Good memories. Only Mark Addison and myself still here.
